8-Week Beat Making Class Curriculum

Kids Classes (Ages 8–18) | Adult Classes (Skill-Level Based) | One 2-Hour Class Per Week

Week 1 – Intro to Beat Making

- Class 1: Welcome, program overview, what is a beat, DAW intro, setting up first project

- Class 2: Exploring sounds, BPM & tempo, creating first basic drum loop

Week 2 – Drums & Rhythm

- Class 1: Drum kit elements, building steady 4-bar & 8-bar patterns

- Class 2: Adding groove with swing & velocity, creating fills & variations

Week 3 – Melodies & Chords

- Class 1: Music theory basics (notes, scales, chords), creating chord progressions

- Class 2: Writing melodies, layering sounds (pads, leads, basslines)

Week 4 – Working With Loops

- Class 1: Finding & importing loops, matching loops to tempo/key

- Class 2: Editing, chopping, layering loops, creative loop challenge

Week 5 – Sampling & Sound Design

- Class 1: Sampling basics & copyright, chopping samples

- Class 2: Sound design basics using synths & effects, making custom sounds

Week 6 – Song Arrangement

- Class 1: Song structure (Intro, Verse, Hook, Bridge, Outro), building sections

- Class 2: Adding automation & transitions, creating dynamics & flow

Week 7 – Mixing Basics

- Class 1: Mixing fundamentals (volume, panning, EQ), balancing elements

- Class 2: Using effects (reverb, delay, compression), practice mix session

Week 8 – Final Project & Showcase

- Class 1: Finalizing beat, exporting for sharing/upload

- Class 2: Class showcase, feedback, certificates, celebration

🎹 KIDS MUSIC PRODUCTION PROGRAM (AGES 8–18)

Our Kids Music Production Program is an 8-week, in-person course designed to introduce young creators to beatmaking and music production in a structured, supportive studio environment.

Students choose one class day and attend that same session each week for the full program.

📅 Class Options (Choose One)

Kids Cohort – Mondays

Mondays, 6:00–8:00 PM

Kids Cohort – Thursdays

Thursdays, 6:00–8:00 PM

Students must attend on their selected day. Alternate days or make-up sessions are not available.

$400 total for the full 8-week program
Paid in full at enrollment
Enrollment is confirmed upon payment

👥 Class Size

Maximum of 5 students per class
Small group setting ensures hands-on instruction and individual support

🎚 Skill Levels

Kids cohorts are grouped by experience level to ensure students learn alongside peers at a similar pace:

Beginner – No prior experience required
Intermediate – Some experience making beats or using music software
Artist Level – Actively creating music and looking to refine skills

🎧 ADULT MUSIC PRODUCTION PROGRAM (AGES 18+)

The Adult Music Production Program is an 8-week, hands-on course for adults who want to learn how to create professional-quality beats in a focused studio setting.

This program is ideal for beginners, hobbyists, and artists looking for structure beyond online tutorials.

Adult Cohort – Fridays

Fridays, 6:00–8:00 PM

This program runs on Fridays only. Attendance is expected each week.

$600 total for the full 8-week program
(Equivalent to $75 per week)
Paid in full at enrollment
Enrollment is confirmed upon payment

👥 Class Size

Maximum of 5 students per class
Small class format allows for direct feedback and hands-on learning

🎚 Skill Levels

Adult cohorts are organized by experience level:

Beginner – No prior production experience
Intermediate – Familiar with basic beatmaking concepts
Artist Level – Actively producing music and refining workflow and sound

Due to limited class sizes, all programs operate on a fixed schedule. Students must attend on their selected day and time. We are unable to offer alternate days, make-up sessions, or schedule changes once enrollment is complete.
